VU.CITY has matured into a leading platform supporting the development of smarter cities. Serving thousands of users by facilitating an effective and seamless evaluation of their architectural and urban design in high fidelity and versatile 3D environment.
Following the new branding and as part of the upgraded platform release, a new UI solution and improved UX was developed, encompassing all existing and newly added tools and functionalities.

THE CHALLENGE

VU.CITY's platform success presented us with an opportunity to build upon the experience of years of use reflected in users' feedback. Combined with heuristical analysis, future proving integration with newly developed and planned functionalities, and holistic analysis, we evolved the UX and UI of the software resulting in three major areas of development...
HIERARCHICAL CLUSTERING
After heuristic analysis and users interviews existing and new functionalities were re-grouped and clustered based on commonalities and frequency of use.
FROM MODALS TO PANELS
The general UX layout evolved into a panels-based solution to ensure a more decluttered interface, enhanced real state for project visualization, and better scalability.
BRAND ALIGMENT
The App became part of the new brand, incorporating universal visual guidelines as well as integration into a Design System for consistency and versatility.
